Azumabashi Dance Crossing presents
Yasumoto Masako: Chibirudamichiruda
If there is one artist who keeps fascinating dance fans -- and even those less interested in dance -- of all ages and genders with performances from esoteric to entertaining, that has to be Yasumoto Masako. While her broad-ranged work includes choreographies for films and stage performances by Matsuo Suzuki, and music videos for the likes of Ketsumeishi and Mr.Children, the moments in which the dancer explodes herself are always the best. When she stretches out her own limbs, that is usually the beginning of a temporally and spatially original demonstration that enchants everyone in the audience. Following a number of small-scale solo and duo shows, she finally presents a larger piece featuring six dancers who will take you on a trip through the amazing Yasumoto world.
