Rome, 1964. Guido, a film director in a midlife crisis, is unable to make any progress with his newest script, and escapes instead into a dream world full of pretty women. This is the first attempt to turn the Broadway musical based on Federico Fellini's "8 1/2" into a movie. Daniel Day-Lewis and a handful other Oscar winners make up a truly impressive cast that is at once the movie's biggest attraction. These singing and dancing star actors' dynamic performances are so stunningly dynamic that you might catch yourself jumping up from your seat to applaud and shout bravo. Bursting with a heartfelt fondness of cinema, this homage to Fellini is highly recommended to film and musical fans alike.
