Pia Film Festival 2010

Sono Sion, Hashiguchi Ryosuke, Yaguchi Shinobu, Furumaya Tomoyuki, Kumakiri Kazuyoshi, Lee Sang-il, Ogigami Naoko, Ishii Yuya... The list of top filmmakers that owe their current success to the PFF is endless. Featured in this year's competition are 16 titles that have been carefully selected from a total of 527 entries. The program includes the world premiere of "Family X", a scholarship work by Yoshida Kohki, who received a Jury Prize for "Symptom X" in 2008; Wakamatsu Koji, Lee Sang-woo and John Cassavetes specials; premiere screenings of "Toilet", "Gegege no Nyobo" and "Heaven's Story"; and finally, a short film special. The "Retrospective of Pia Film Festival vol.3" introducing previous scholarship works is open through 7/22. Also check out "Carte Blanche", a special event for students.
