Tokyo International Lesbian & Gay Film Festival 2010
"SATC2" begins with a scene of a happy gay couple's glamorous wedding in Connecticut, while Cynthia Nixon, who plays the role of Miranda, is engaged to her female partner in real life. In these times of increased exposure of sexual minorities, the TIL&GFF showcases for the 19th time what's new in the world of gay and lesbian cinema. One of more than 150 similar events taking place around the world today, the festival is one of the biggest in terms of attendance in the Asian realm next to the one in Hong Kong. This year, the two protagonists in Lou Ye's "Spring Fever (Chun feng chen zui de ye wan)" are visiting Japan, and for many of the other titles in the program Q&A sessions with special guests after the screenings are planned. Additional exhibitions and bars complete a spectacle that is not only about film.
