Tengal is an intermedia artist, researcher, and cultural producer. He has been involved in research-based production bridging art, technology, music, and society in Manila and Southeast Asian region since 2005. He founded the art organization SABAW Media Art Kitchen in Manila as a curatorial platform that initiated the Philippines’ first international media art festival and symposium, WSK Festival of the Recently Possible. He curated the INTERSTICES: Manifolds of The In-between exhibition with the Japan Foundation Asia Center and last Feb 2018 was the guest director for「self-reflexivity: Thinking Media and Digital Articulations」exhibition for MeCA | Media Culture in Asia: A Transnational Platform, a Media art festival in Tokyo. Tengal was a recipient of the Asia Center Fellowship for Cultural and Intellectual Research, where he spent 6 months traveling all over Japan. In 2002 he published “One Hundred Years of Idiocy,” a photo book that summarized human idiocy in the 20th century and launched a bilingual contemporary art magazine “ART iT” in 2003. He became General Producer of performing arts section, Aichi Triennale 2013. He wrote and published a photo book “One Hundred Years of Lunacy” in 2014. Curator and coordinator. Lives and Works in Tokyo. Having worked as an assistant curator of Mori Art Museum, Tokyo (2001-9), she then moved to New Delhi India between 2009-18. While in India, she coordinated and researched for numerous projects. Worked as a project coordinator of Japan Foundation’s “Omnilogue: Journey to the West” at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi in 2012, a research curator of Indian art for the Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale 2014, and coordinated to create a new video and painting installation of “The Returns of K.T.O.” by Japanese artist Tsuyoshi Ozawa for Yokohama Triennale 2017.

Toshiro Inaba, M.D., Ph.D. Born in Kumamoto in 1979. Cardiologist and Assistant Professor at the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine of the University of Tokyo Hospital from 2014 to 2020. Since April 2020, holds the roles of Head of the Department of General Medicine at Karuizawa Municipal Hospital, Associate Professor at the Shinshu University Research Center for Social Systems, Visiting Researcher at the University of Tokyo Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, and Visiting Professor at the Tohoku University of Art and Design. Inaba was also appointed Artistic Director of the 2020 Yamagata Biennale, and is involved in home medical care and mountain medicine. He engages in active discussion with professionals in a wide range of fields in order to bring about new medical and social solutions. He is the author of “In Case Of Suzanne Lafont ” (1999), and supervised “T.Rex File” (2005), “Friction The Book” (2007), “Acid Folk” (2008) and many other books. He was currently assisting to re-publish Andy Warhol / Gerard Malanga’s “Screen Tests / A Diary” and writing a long study on “Screen Tests”.
